And They’re Off!!
The competitive Trampoline & Tumbling has begun! The EWA Allen T&T Team and Advanced Training Group competed at their first competition which was the Dallas Cup hosted by Eagle’s Wings Athletics January 18th and 19th. This competition hosted athletes from all over Texas as well as Oklahoma and Missouri, in total there were 605 athletes. Nerves were high for all of the athletes who were trying to show off their new routines and passes for the first time this season, however the EWA athletes definitely showed they have worked hard and were not going to let their nerves get to them!
EWA walked away with 10 gold medals, 9 silver medals, and 9 bronze medals. They also had 6 athletes that made finals, one athlete that was the all-around winner in level 5, and then together they won 4 team awards! Definitely a very successful first meet for the T&T team! Coach Amy said this about their performances “Nerves were definitely evidently today in the competition however they were outweighed by the fact that the athletes were cold! I am very proud of the T&T Team and the ATG athletes, this was a great first meet and they set the bar very high for themselves. I am excited to watch them improve at every meet.”
The EWA Prosper Team competed at the Dallas Cup as well and had a very successful meet. Payton Maynard competed for the very first time and landed all of her passes and Karsyn showed them she has worked hard and earned the gold medal on tumbling.
