General Information:
Eagle’s Wings Athletics offers both recreational and competitive boys gymnastics. Our boys classes are for ages 5 and up and focus on all 6 of the men’s Olympic events (floor exercise, pommel horse / mushroom, still rings, vault, parallel bars, horizontal bar) and trampoline. We have a strong focus on body position, flexibility and strength, while learning the basic building block skills on each event. We offer 8:1 student/teacher ratios for Level 1, 10:1 for Level 2, and 12:1 for Level 3. *Boys should wear a good fitting t-shirt and shorts without pockets, strings or zippers on the outside of the shorts. Boys may wear gymnastics men's tunics/shorts for classes as well.

Level 1:
Weekly – 55 Minute Class
Ages 5 and up. Our level 1 class is for boys just beginning gymnastics. The goals of these classes are to learn basic gymnastics terminology/safety, teach basic body positions, work on strength, and learn 3-4 building block skills on each event while naturally having fun and staying active.
Level 2:
Weekly – 55 Minute Class or 1.5 Hour Class
Ages 5 and up. In this class we continue to teach gymnastics terminology/safety and a few new body positions. We also begin to introduce more skills on each event, as well as increased strength. The boys in this level are encouraged to work flexibility and strength at home as well to help them progress faster.
Level 3/Advanced Training Group (ATG):
Weekly – 2 Hour Class
Ages 6 and up. Like the previous classes we continue to build on the foundations of body positions and skills with even more emphasis on strength. This is also where some boys begin to be selected for the competitive team possibly, but it is not guaranteed. These Level 3s / ATG boys train similar skills as boys on our lower level competitive teams. They will only be invited to the competitive team when their skills are ready, and they and their parents are ready for the challenge and commitment of competition. We suggest anyone in Level 3 / ATG attend 2 classes per week. (Note: It is also completely fine for boys to be working Level 4, 5, & 6+ team skills in the Level 3/ATG based on their abilities and possible disinterest from being on the team. Therefore, regardless, we will work your son at his ability and keep him challenged in a fun, safe, & productive manner).
